Just came back from JustDrift drift event at Willowspring raceway. Didn't do too good.
Front tires are bald, so no traction in the front for me. A shitload of understeer that I had to deal with. Saw a lot professional D1 drifters there practicing. To name a few, JIC s15, Falken mustang, AE86 , Cfire, many more. The track is setup for high-power cars. All the N/A were having problem doing the long swappers. I did poorly, I hate 3rd gear drifting in my car. One mistake, and you are done. There is no recovering from a mistake in a 3rd gear with my low power car. Engine is acting weird, whenever I redline, it would making a squeeking noise. I think it's either the belt or the chain. Guess I really need this new engine and power improvement. It really makes me depressed looking at those 450hp, full suspension, well tuned D1 cars hitting the course perfectly while I have struggle to keep away from understeering in the slanted highspeed turns. You really feel out gunned both equipment and skill wise. Not really fair isn't it? Yep life isn't fair, I learn that a long time ago.
hehe s15 with an uncovered rear...

ghetto ass understeering
Love it when you can finally get it swinging at highspeed S turns.

More actions.
